On International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026, the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin hosted the sixth edition of its annual HELP Awards, recognising news euros individuals and organisations whose work has supported communities across Ireland. Volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates and changemakers gathered for the event, which also welcomed previous honourees.
Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. This year’s award recipients included Walk And Talk and Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland and Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association and Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain and Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid of Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj, and Neera Baj.
Created in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards honour those whose work improves the lives of others through service. The awards reflect the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers provide practical support in communities and during crises. The ceremony underscored the importance of community action and volunteer service in strengthening society.
